BIOGRAPHY
A member of the Desert Mountain team since 1995, Karen draws on her experience of having designed and built four custom homes, including two “Golden Nugget” award winners, to provide the detailed expertise Desert Mountain clients require. Her knowledge of the community and exclusive attention to Desert Mountain properties allows her to provide detailed knowledge of the community’s history, club operations, design review and other issues important to Members. A graduate of the Mary Washington College at the University of Virginia, with a major in psychology and a minor in education, Karen previously served as the executive director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for Washington state and was the senior vice president of sales and marketing, international division, for the Pacific Institute in Seattle.
Karen and her husband, Doug, are Desert Mountain Members and currently reside in their fourth Desert Mountain home. She is a beginning golfer, grandmother of four, and mother of two Golden Retrievers and a cat.
