NO. 7 AT DESERT MOUNTAIN™ IS OPEN!
Serving as the focal point for the exclusive, 90-acre Seven Desert Mountain™ community, the course has been created to embrace the fun and social aspects of a golf community. This USGA-rated, Championship par-54, 18-hole course layout plays at full length to 3,114 yards and was designed by Wendell Pickett and Bill Brownlee for the enjoyment and challenge of all ages and all skill levels, while incorporating a distinct short-game test. In conjunction with its playability for all ages, No. 7 at Desert Mountain features a special handicap system in place for match-play experiences, as well. No. 7 at Desert Mountain also introduces a new concept of an alternative teeing bunker on each hole, known as the “Sandy”. The Sandy allows you to play 18 holes teeing off from a bunker, playing for that sand save on each hole! This enables you to practice your short game approach shots from the sand or just have fun! The front tees have 14 of 18 holes your average golfer can play with a putter from the tee or play all 18 with two or three clubs, practicing your wedge game from 135 yards or having some fun putting off the Bentgrass Tees through the Bentgrass Fairways to the Bentgrass Greens! No other course provides you this unique golfing experience! The average playing time is 2 hours and 45 minutes, with most players choosing to walk and enjoy the beauty of the course and get that workout in for the day.
The landscape is visually stunning, resembling a peaceful desert parkland. A stream runs through the landscape, coming into play on five of the golf holes. The 15th, 16th and 17th holes play over the water feature and provide you all the challenge that you want from the back tees, with shots of 221 and 227 yards over water!
The putting surface of the 18th green and Putting Course are connected, creating a 22,000-square foot greens complex with portion of the putting surface lighted for night time enjoyment. The 10-person outdoor dining area overlooks the 18th hole and the Putting Course. The 18th hole doubles as an amphitheater for outdoor concerts and events.
